SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The month of September and the color teal are designated for ovarian cancer awareness. In support of this effort, the Seton Hall women's tennis team appeared at the Sept. 30th women's soccer game at Owen T. Carroll Field to sell teal wristbands and collect donations to help generate awareness and support ovarian cancer research.
Ovarian cancer is an ongoing problem. According to the National Cancer Institute, over 20,000 women will be diagnosed with new cases of ovarian cancer in 2011.
"This was our first experience working for this cause and I am pleased with how successful it was," said head coach Greg Wyzykowski. "We sold out of wristbands prior to the end of the first half of the game and I am excited about the opportunity to expand and our involvement next September."

The tennis team is back in action this weekend as they travel to Flushing, N.Y. for the USTA Collegiate Invitational.
