
Four Pirates Earn CSC Academic All-District Recognition

South Orange, N.J. - Four members of the Seton Hall women's tennis team have been recognized by College Sports Communicators (CSC) for their academic prowess. Named CSC Div. I Academic All-District are juniors Niamh Campbell and Anastasia Sereda and sophomores Rachel Benoualid and Jaden Davidson.
To be considered for Academic All-District, nominees must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA or higher, be at least a sophomore academically and participate in at least 70 percent of a team's contests that included a team score, not including exhibitions.
Campbell is a Visual and Sound Media major at Seton Hall and is now a two-time recipient of this Academic All-District honor. Also a member of Chi Alpha Sigma and Seton Hall's Junior Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Campbell won a career-high 12 singles matches for the Pirates, including five during spring duals and one over a BIG EAST Foe, topping Providence's Allison Root back in February.
Sereda is a Finance major at Seton Hall who also earns Academic All-District for a second straight season. She too is a Chi Alpha Sigma inductee, and this season, she won nine singles matches, including eight during the spring dual season. She had a hot end to the year, winning her last four singles competitions, all by straight sets, including three over BIG EAST opponents.
Benoualid, a Biochemistry major, earns her first CSC Academic All-District recognition, and she is also one of Seton Hall's Sophomore Scholar-Athletes of the Year. She won eight singles matches on the season, including six during spring duals and two over BIG EAST opponents, defeating the No. 5 players on UConn and Providence.
Davidson, a Psychology major who transferred to Seton Hall from Charleston Southern University, also earns her first CSC All-Academic honor. She was tied for the team lead in singles wins this season with 18 and was second in spring singles wins with eight. She topped opponents from BIG EAST teams Providence, St. John's and Marquette while playing at either No. 2 or No. 3 the whole year.
