Seton Hall Basketball Participating in Charitable Toy Drives
12/2/2011 12:00:00 AM | Women's Basketball
It's the season of giving, and Seton Hall's Men's and Women's Basketball teams are participating in toy drives to benefit children at this holiday time. The Men's team has partnered with Team Walker to collect donated toys from fans at the Friday, December 2nd game against Auburn, and the Saturday, December 10th game against Wake Forest. The Team Walker toy drive will be benefitting underprivileged children in the Jersey City area. We encourage fans to bring an unwrapped toy to the games, as Team Walker staff and children will be on hand to collect the unwrapped toys on the main concourse at the Prudential Center. Pirate basketball fans have been exceptionally generous the past three years, and we hope to continue the tradition of supporting the children of Team Walker this holiday season!
The Women's Basketball team is also participating in a toy drive this year, benefiting the One Simple Wish foundation. Donated unwrapped toys will be collected in the Walsh Gymnasium lobby at the Sunday, December 4th game against Wake Forest, as well as the Saturday, December 17th game against Stony Brook. Since 2008, One Simple Wish has worked to create special memories during the holidays for vulnerable families and foster children in the local communities. Pirate basketball fans are encouraged to help in these efforts and support the Women's Basketball team and the One Simple Wish foundation in their efforts this holiday season!
