Baseball Enters BIG EAST Tournament as Fifth Seed

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Seton Hall baseball team has clinched the fifth seed of the 2011 BIG EAST Tournament and will play West Virginia on Wednesday, May 25 at Bright House Field in Clearwater, Fla. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
Originally picked to finish 11th in the BIG EAST Pre-Season Coaches Poll, the Pirates earned their berth by winning seven of their last nine BIG EAST games, including a sweep of Georgetown this weekend at Owen T. Carroll Field, to improve their record to 14-13.
As the fifth seed in the double-elimination eight-team tournament, the Pirates will play the fourth-seeded Mountaineers then move on to the win/loss bracket to play either number-1 seed Connecticut or number-8 seed Notre Dame.
