SOUTH KENT, CONN. - The Seton Hall men's golf team is currently tied for ninth place following two rounds at the 2012 Hartford Hawks Invitational
The Pirates are 34-over-par with a 309-301-610 after 36 holes on Monday. Seton Hall trails the team leader and host, Hartford, by 26 strokes, but is only 10 strokes out of third place.
Among the field of 16 teams are two other BIG EAST competitors. The Pirates trail Connecticut by 10 strokes and Rutgers by seven strokes.
Sophomore Derrick Kim (New City, N.Y.) and freshman Cory Wilson (Newton, N.J.) currently lead the Pirates after shooting identical scores of 7-over-par with a 77-74-151. They are tied for 20th place among a field of 88 golfers.
Freshman David Cha (Carrollton, Texas) currently has the third-best Pirates' score with a 10-over-par, 76-78-154, and is tied for 32nd place overall.
Only one stroke behind Cha is junior Gary Dunne (Wickow, Ireland), who is 11-over-par with an 80-75-155, and tied for 39th place.
Rounding out the Pirates' scoring is junior Marc Kunesch (Newton, N.J.), who is 16-over-par with a 79-81-160.
