SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Seton Hall's Anne Donovan will be leaving her post as head coach of the women's basketball program to assume the same role with the WNBA's Connecticut Sun.
"My time at SHU has been extremely rewarding. I commend the staff for their tireless and successful efforts in recruiting and elevating the program," Donovan said. "I look forward to coaching and competing with this team for the remainder of this season."
Donovan, currently in her third season with the Pirates, will complete the 2012-13 season before departing for the Sun.
"We thank Anne for the time and dedication she put forth in representing the women's basketball program over the last three years," said Director of Athletics Patrick Lyons. "We believe her hard work has put the team in excellent position for future success."
A national search for a replacement will commence at the completion of the 2012-13 season.
