PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Junior Zack Granite (Staten Island, N.Y.) was named to the BIG EAST’s final Weekly Honor Roll on Monday. It’s the second time he’s received the recognition this season. Granite was instrumental in leading the Pirates to a 3-1 week, including a series victory over St. John’s last weekend. The speedy leadoff man batted a team-best .412 during the four-game stretch and stole a pair of bases. Granite now has a career-high 34 stolen bases, second-most in the BIG EAST. On Friday vs. St. John’s, he went 3-for-5 with an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored. On Saturday, Granite was 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI.
