
Manthorpe, Fournier Named to Honor Roll

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Seton Hall senior Stacey Manthorpe (Merion Station, Pa.) and sophomore Tessa Fournier (Redondo Beach, Calif.) were named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
Manthorpe is named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the fourth time this season after guiding the Pirates to a 1-1 record last week. She recorded double-doubles in both matches, giving her eight straight and a team-leading 15 on the season. On Friday at DePaul, Manthorpe tallied a match-high 13 kills to go with 10 digs and a .310 attack percentage. On Saturday at Marquette, she bested her previous career-high by seven kills to finish with a match-high 26 to go with 13 digs and a .319 attack percentage. Her 26 digs came with just three attack errors.
Fournier is named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the second time this season. The libero was the anchor of the Pirates' defense in two matches last week, totaling 59 digs. Fournier had a match-high 25 digs to go with eight assists in only three sets at DePaul on Friday. She came back with a career-high 34 digs to lead all players on Saturday at Marquette.
Marquette's Autumn Bailey was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, Creighton's Kelli Browning was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week while Marquette's Gabby Benda earned Freshman of the Week honors. Joining Manthorpe and Fournier on the honor roll were Butler's Makayla Ferguson, St. John's Shawna-Lei Santos and Xavier's Aubree Smith.
Manthorpe, Fournier and the rest of the Pirates will return to action this Tuesday when they travel to nearby Stony Brook for a mid-week non-conference match. The match is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start.
