SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Seton Hall sophomore Tessa Fournier (Redondo Beach, Calif.) was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week, while senior Stacey Manthorpe (Merion Station, Pa.) was added to the Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.
Fournier is named Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in her career after leading the Pirates to a pair of victories last week over BIG EAST opponents. On Friday, she tallied a team-high 19 kills to go with 16 digs and five blocks in the victory over Marquette. The next day, Manthorpe had a match-high 22 kills and 16 digs on Senior Day vs. DePaul. She also had an impressive .345 attack percentage vs. the Blue Demons.
