SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Seton Hall University women's basketball program will celebrate one of the most successful seasons in program history with its annual end of the year banquet, to be held Wednesday, April 30, at McCloone's Boathouse in West Orange, N.J.
Fans, alumni and supporters of the program are invited to join the SHU coaches and student-athletes as they look back at the 2013-14 Seton Hall women's basketball season during an evening that head coach Anthony Bozzella plans to make an annual tradition for the SHU women's basketball program.
The cost for attending the banquet will be $43 per person and RSVP information should be sent to Coordinator of Basketball Operations Marissa Flagg, at marissa.flagg@shu.edu.
The evening will begin with a cocktail hour from 7-8 p.m., with dinner and a program to follow.
Seton Hall is coming off a 20-14 season in which the Pirates qualified for the postseason for the first time since 2007 and advanced to the third round of the WNIT for the first time in program history. The Hall played in the BIG EAST Quarterfinals for the first time since 2003 and saw a pair of student-athletes receive All-Conference recognition in Ka-Deidre Simmons, First-Team All-BIG EAST, and Tabatha Richardson-Smith, Second-Team All-BIG EAST and the BIG EAST Most Improved Player.
Instituting an exciting, fan-friendly brand of basketball, Seton Hall achieved the third-highest team scoring average in program history which aided in reaching the 20-win plateau for the first time in 19 years and just the eighth time in program history.
