TICKETS TO SATURDAY'S GAME
South Orange, N.J. - In homage to its rich basketball history and tradition, the Seton Hall men's basketball team will wear a throwback uniform during its nationally televised FOX Broadcast Network game against Wichita State Saturday. Known as "Glory Days" - in tribute to New Jersey's legendary rock boss Bruce Springsteen - the Under Armour uniform is the same that the Pirates wore in the late 1980s and early 1990s, one of the most successful periods in Seton Hall history.
Fans interested in purchasing the "Glory Days" replica jersey can do so at the Seton Hall Bookstore beginning Friday at noon.
The design, including the school script and number font, mimics the look of the uniforms the Pirates wore from 1987-93 when the program won 141 games, advanced to five NCAA Tournaments, made its famous run to the 1989 NCAA Final Four and captured the 1991 and 1993 BIG EAST championships. The retro Pirate logo on the short matches the logo from the late 1980s. There is a chevron on the side hem of both shorts as a nod to the chevrons in the ceiling of the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception.
Tickets to Saturday's game vs. the Shockers are still available through Ticketmaster and the Seton Hall Athletics ticket office (973) 275-HALL (4255).
