Full 2016-17 Pirates Schedule Now Finalized

South Orange, N.J. - With the 2016-17 BIG EAST men's basketball conference schedule having been officially released on Tuesday, the Seton Hall men's basketball team's schedule has been finalized and will include 13 home games at Prudential Center, where the defending BIG EAST champion Pirates will clash with rivals St. John's, Providence, Georgetown and Villanova, the latter serving as a rematch of the 2016 BIG EAST Tournament final, won by Seton Hall.
As part of the schedule release, all of Seton Hall's game times and television assignments have also been finalized, and the Pirates will play 16 of their 30 regular season games on FS1 as well as four games on CBS Sports Network. The Hall's signature television broadcast will take place on Saturday, Feb. 18 when the Pirates host Villanova on the FOX Broadcast Network.
Season tickets to all 13 games at Prudential Center, which include six weekend dates, start at just $153 per seat and are on sale through the Seton Hall Athletics ticket office either online at SHUPirates.com/MBBtickets or by phone at (973) 275-HALL (4255). Season ticket holders receive the best value on Pirates tickets, which includes priority access to BIG EAST Tournament tickets, receive special invitations to private events and access to tickets to other events at Prudential Center such as concerts and New Jersey Devils games.
Individual game tickets for all 13 games at Prudential Center will go on sale Monday, Oct. 17 online at SHUPirates.com, PruCenter.com and Ticketmaster.com, by phone at (973) 275-HALL (4255) and in person at the Seton Hall Athletics ticket office and Prudential Center box office during regular business hours.Â
After the Pirates navigate through their difficult non-conference schedule, which includes home games against Fairleigh Dickinson (Nov. 11, 7 p.m., YES), Central Connecticut State (Nov. 13, 2 p.m., FS1), Columbia (Dec. 1, 7 p.m., FS1), Delaware (Dec. 17, 6 p.m., YES), and Rutgers (Dec. 23, 6:30 p.m., FS1), they will then enter the rigors of BIG EAST play, an area The Hall was extremely successful in last season when the team finished in third place with a 12-6 record, the program's best BIG EAST finish since 1993.
After opening at Creighton on Dec. 28 (8 p.m., FS2), the Pirates will host Marquette (4:30 p.m., FS1) on New Year's Day Jan. 1 for their first BIG EAST home game of the season, to be followed by a Jan. 7 home game against DePaul (12 p.m., CBS Sports Network). After a three-game road trip to Marquette (Jan. 11, 7 p.m., FS1), Providence (Jan. 14, 12 p.m., YES) and Villanova (Jan. 16, 6:30 p.m., FS1), the Pirates will close out January with home games against St. John's (Jan. 22, 12 p.m., FS1) and Butler (Jan. 25, 8:30 p.m., FS1).
