South Orange, N.J. - The Seton Hall men's basketball team will play a charity exhibition game against La Salle on Thursday, Nov. 2 at historic Walsh Gymnasium at 7:30 p.m. All net proceeds will go to United for Puerto Rico to aid the relief efforts after the island was devastated by the effects of Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria.
General admission tickets will be available to the general public for $20 and to Seton Hall students for $5, and they will go on sale on Thursday, October 26 at 10 a.m., either by calling (973) 275-4255 or by visiting the Seton Hall Athletics ticket office in person. On gameday, there will also be a table in the Walsh Gymnasium lobby that will accept in-person donations.
The exhibition was made possible through an NCAA waiver that Seton Hall and La Salle sought. Ordinarily, Div. I exhibition games open to the public cannot be conducted against Div. I opponents.
The game will not be televised or live streamed.
United for Puerto Rico is an initiative brought forth by the First Lady of Puerto Rico, Beatriz Rosselló, in collaboration with the private sector, with the purpose of providing aid and support to those affected in Puerto Rico by the passage of Hurricane Irma and Hurricane María. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to helping the victims affected by these natural disasters in Puerto Rico.
