
Pirates Fall to Marquette on Senior Night

South Orange, N.J. – The Seton Hall women's soccer team held a 14-12 advantage in shots on Thursday night, but ultimately suffered a 2-0 BIG EAST Conference setback to Marquette on Senior Night at Owen T. Carroll Field in the final match of the season.
Prior to the match, Seton Hall honored its seven graduating student-athletes: Sarah Cortes (Paramus, N.J.), Laura Dramis (Farmingdale, N.J.), Lauren Hall (Bridgewater, N.J.), Katie Landes (Stony Point, N.Y.), Andrea Palermo (Caledon, Ontario), Ryann Ramirez (Lake Tahoe, Calif.) and Ana Zadro (Mississauga, Ontario).
Turning Point
Despite sustained offensive pressure from the Pirates (0-12-5, 0-6-3 BIG EAST) throughout the first half, Marquette (12-6-1, 5-4-0) scored on its second shot of the contest at the 21:18 mark when Carrie Madden scored her seventh goal of the season following a pass across the front of the box by Kylie Sprecher.
