UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - The Seton Hall men's golf team will return to action on Saturday for the first two of three rounds of action at the Rutherford Intercollegiate at Penn State University, April 15-16.

In this 6,000 sq. ft. facility you'll find a complete Golf Shop filled with the latest in quality golf equipment and merchandise. Let our golf professionals share with you their expertise and answer any of your questions. Next to the Golf Shop is The Nineteenth Hole Cafe. This snack area offers a variety of food and snacks for a quick bite or a relaxing meal. The Cafe's open dining area overlooks the courses and provides the perfect compliments to a round of golf.

In addition to Seton Hall and host Penn State, the field includes 11 other schools:Â Binghamton, Columbia, Eastern Michigan, Georgetown, Oakland, Ohio, Rutgers, Towson, Virginia Commonwealth, West Virginia and Xavier.

Senior Lloyd Jefferson Go (Guadalupe Cebu City, Philippines) shot a 1-under-par, 70, in Sunday's final round to win the individual title and lift the Pirates to the team championship at the Princeton Invitational last weekend.

Four Pirates shot under par in the final round as they turned a four-stroke deficit following two rounds into a five-stroke victory. As a team, The Hall fired an 8-under-par, 276, on Sunday, the best single round of any team throughout the tournament. It also broke the Pirates' par-71 single-round record set on Sept. 13, 2008, a 279 in the second round of the Rutgers Invitational. For the three-round event, Seton Hall shot a 1-over-par, 296-281-276-853, to best Harvard by five strokes. The Pirates' lone BIG EAST competition, Georgetown, finished a distant 22 strokes behind.

Go finished his final round with 11 straight pars to claim the individual title with a 9-under-par, 69-65-70-204, five strokes ahead of Harvard's Aurian Capart.

Last Time at Rutherford:
Last spring, Go finished in eighth place with an even-par, 69-68-76-213, to lead the Pirates to a seventh place tie at the 2016 Rutherford Intercollegiate.Â

Collectively, the Pirates tied for seventh with a fellow BIG EAST competitor, Georgetown. Seton Hall shot a 33-over-par, 289-289-307-885. Penn State won the team title at 9-under par. Another BIG EAST team, Xavier, finished in third place at 9-over-par.

Seton Hall's best performance at the Rutherford Intercollegiate came in 2014 when it finished at 20-over-par and claimed second place.

Seton Hall will be paired with golfers from Eastern Michigan and Virginia Commonwealth in Saturday's first round. Alex McCauley will get the Pirates started with a tee time of 8:15 a.m. from the first tee. The rest of the team will follow with nine minutes separating the groups.
