Vote for the 2016-17 MBB Play of the Year on Twitter
4/5/2017 12:38:00 PM | Men's Basketball
Pirates Fans,
We're not done with brackets just yet.
For the next two weeks, @SetonHallMBBÂ on Twitter will run a fan-vote tournament to decide what is the 2016-17 Play of the Year. The tournament features 16 top plays that happened this season, and they have been placed into a bracket. Fans will vote on play matchups twice a day for the first round and quarterfinals from April 6-11. Then after taking a week break to observe the Easter holiday, the tournament will hold Final Four voting April 18-20 to determine what is the fan's choice for the top play of the year.
How it will work:
- Each day in the first round and quarterfinals will feature two matchups, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Each matchup will be previewed on the @SetonHallMBB twitter at 9 a.m. and again at 3 p.m. as fans can watch each play to compare. Then from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., there will be an active Twitter poll on @SetonHallMBB as fans will decide which play will advance to the next round. This will repeat from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. for the afternoon matchup.
- Once the field has been narrowed down to the Final Four, the tournament will take a one-week break. On April 18 at 9 a.m., @SetonHallMBB will preview the first semifinal matchup, and then fans will have from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. to vote. The process will be repeated on April 19 for the second semifinal.
- The championship vote will be held on April 20 with the video previews at 9 a.m. and voting to occur from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., and the champion revealed shortly thereafter.
