Pirates to Play at BC in Charity Exhibition Oct. 27

South Orange, N.J. - The Seton Hall men's basketball team's first organized scrimmage of the 2018-19 season will be a charity exhibition game at Boston College on Saturday, Oct. 27 at noon. The game will be played at Conte Forum where volunteers will be collecting donations at the entrances, and all proceeds will be donated to the Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh.

It is the first of two Seton Hall exhibition games. The Pirates will also host New Haven on Friday, Nov. 9 inside historic Walsh Gymnasium at 3 p.m., though that contest comes after the beginning of the regular season, which takes place Tuesday, Nov. 6 against Wagner, also inside historic Walsh Gymnasium.

The Pirates, led by ninth year head coach Kevin Willard, return steady senior Michael Nzei (Makurdi, Nigeria), 2018 BIG EAST Most Improved Player of the Year Myles Powell (Trenton, N.J.) and budding sophomores Myles Cale (Middletown, Del.), Sandro Mamukelashvili (Tbilisi, Georgia) and Shavar Reynolds (Manchester, N.J.), and the team will be infused with talented transfers Romaro Gill (St. Thomas, Jamaica), Quincy McKnight (Bridgeport, Conn.) and Taurean Thompson (New York, N.Y.). Incoming freshmen Darnell Brodie (Newark, N.J.), Anthony Nelson (New York, N.Y.) and Jared Rhoden (Baldwin, N.Y.) are also poised to make an impact for the Pirates, who are seeking their fourth straight 20-win season and NCAA Tournament appearance.
