Pirates Conclude Play at Harvard Fall Scramble

BOSTON – The Seton Hall women's tennis team wrapped up competition at the Harvard Fall Scramble on Sunday, and finished with a pair of doubles victories against the host Crimson. The Pirates also squared off with Fordham and Rhode Island over the weekend.

At the top doubles flight against Harvard, senior Anicka Fajnorova (Bratislava, Slovakia) and freshman Regina Pitts (Los Angeles, Calif.) paired for a 6-4 victory. At the No. 3 flight, juniors Michal Matson (Christchurch, New Zealand) and Melody Taal (Ede, Netherlands) registered a 6-2 triumph.

A total of six different Pirates registered a singles victory, while four different doubles tandems notched triumphs.

The Pirates have concluded their fall 2018 campaign, and will resume play in 2019 when they begin dual match play with a Jan. 19 match against Sacred Heart at home.
