NEW YORK - Senior Seton Hall men's basketball guard Khadeen Carrington (Brooklyn, N.Y.) led the Pirates to a pair of road wins last week and has been honored as the BIG EAST Player of the Week for his efforts, the conference office announced Monday, and the Met Writers Player of the Week, the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association announced Tuesday.
This is Carrington's second career BIG EAST Player of the Week award; he also received it back on Feb. 20, 2017. It is also the second time this season that a Pirate has won, joining Desi Rodriguez, who was the player of the week back on Dec. 4, 2017.
And this is also Carrington's second career Met Writers Player of the Week honor; he received his first back on Feb. 21, 2017. He's the third different Pirate to receive the honor this season, including Rodriguez on Dec. 5 and Angel Delgado on Jan. 9.
