3/4/2018 3:32:00 PM | Men's Basketball
This is the second straight year that the Pirates have placed at least two student-athletes on at least the second team, and Seton Hall was one of only three teams to place two student-athletes on the first and second teams (Villanova and Creighton).
Delgado was once again the best big man in the BIG EAST Conference, winning the league's rebounding championship for the third time in four years, becoming only the second player in conference history to be a three-time rebounding champion (Michael Smith, Providence, 1992-94). Overall, he averaged 13.4 points, 11.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game, and in conference games, he averaged 13.3 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. In conference games, he grabbed 57 more rebounds than anyone else in the league. He also finished the regular season with 21 double-doubles, seven more than any other conference student-athlete.
Nationally, Delgado ranks third in the nation with his 21 double-doubles and is also in the top 10 in overall rebounding and offensive rebounding. For his career, he is NCAA Div. I's active leader in career rebounds (1,414) and double-doubles (71). He is tied for 18th all-time in NCAA history in double-doubles. Below are Delgado's career BIG EAST honors:

- 2017 BIG EAST Championship All-Tournament team
- 2017 Unanimous All-BIG EAST first team

On the season, Rodriguez has averages of 18.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists while shooting 50.4 percent from the field. In conference games, he averaged 18.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists.
Seton Hall finished the regular season 21-10 overall and 10-8 in the BIG EAST Conference, earning a third-place finish for the third consecutive year.
