SOUTH KENT, CONN. - The Seton Hall men's golf team will return to action starting Monday with three rounds of golf at the 2018 Hartford Hawks Invitational at Bull's Bridge Golf Club, September 17-18.

The Course:
Nestled in northwestern Connecticut's scenic Litchfield County, Bull's Bridge Golf Club offers a truly unique golf experience. The Berkshire foothills provide an impressive panorama with spectacular views prominent throughout the property. The 18 hole, championship golf course was opened in 2004, and it has quickly commanded the attention of the golf community. Designed by Tom Fazio, one of America's greatest living golf architects, the par-72 layout exemplifies his trademark design versatility. With four sets of tees, two hybrid course layouts and yardages ranging from 5,300 to 7,000 yards, the course simultaneously appeals to and challenges players of all skill levels. While Travel + Leisure Golf rated it one of America's Best New Private Courses in 2004, the course already exhibits a maturity and presentation level well beyond its years.

In addition to Seton Hall and host Hartford, the large field includes 18 other schools:Â Bryant, Cal Poly, Central Florida, Connecticut, Drexel, Fairfield, Fairleigh Dickinson, Fordham, Hofstra, Holy Cross, LaSalle, LIU-Brooklyn, Mount St. Mary's, Rhode Island, Rider, Sacred Heart, Towson and Weber State.Â

Last Time at Bull's Bridge:
Gen Nagai (Mandaue Cebu City, Philippines) shot even-par or better in all three rounds as the Pirates finished second at the 2017 Hartford Hawks Invitational. Nagai was consistently brilliant, tying for sixth place among 116 individual players with a 4-under-par, 71-69-72-212.Â

Collectively, the Pirates jumped two spots in the team standings on the final day to finish in second place with a 3-under-par, 286-284-291-861. UCF won the team title at an impressive 28 strokes under par. Seton Hall's lone BIG EAST competition in the field, St. John's, finished a distant 61 strokes behind The Hall.

Chris Yeom (Flushing, N.Y.) also turned in one of his finest collegiate performances. He finished just two strokes behind Nagai with a 2-under-par, 72-72-70-214.

Last Time Out:
Freshman Deven Ramachandran (San Rafael, Calif.) shot a 2-under-par, 70, on Sunday at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial to claim a Top-5 individual finish in his first collegiate tournament. As a team, the Pirates finished fourth, while their "B" team ended play in 15th place.

Ramachandran, playing for Seton Hall's "B" team, used four birdies to power his big final round. He tied for fourth among 90 individual golfers with an impressive even-par, 75-71-70-216. Lafayette's Brendan Cronin won the individual title at 10-under-par.

Collectively, the Pirates shot their third consecutive 5-over-par, 293, in Sunday's final round. The Hall finished the tournament with a 15-over-par, 293-293-293-879, 12 strokes behind team champion Lafayette, but only two behind second place Drexel.

Nagai also had a strong final round, shooting 2-under-par. Nagai's effort jetted him up the scoreboard to a seventh place tie with a 1-over-par, 75-72-70-217. It's his eighth career top-10 finish.

The field will play two continuous rounds on Monday with a shotgun start beginning at 8:00 a.m. A final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday with also an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start.
