Seton Hall softball head coach Paige Smith has announced that Heather Bergman joined the program as a volunteer assistant coach. Bergman arrives at Seton Hall after spending the past six years serving as a softball instructor at Epic Sports Training and Fitness.
For the past four years, Bergman has been a travel softball coach for three different teams. She was also an assistant on the softball staff at Montclair Sate from 2013-17.
"Heather is passionate about sharing her knowledge and love for the game," Smith said. "With a strength and conditioning background, she will work closely with the Seton Hall weight room in the development and implementation of our strength and conditioning program."
Much of Bergman's softball knowledge comes from her experience as a player for Montclair State. In both 2011 and 2012, Bergman was a New Jersey Athletic Conference 2ndTeam All-Conference catcher. Also, in 2012, she was honored as a NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete.
"She will work primarily with the catchers and will have an important role in our leadership development group," Smith added.
Bergman graduated from Montclair State in 2012 with a B.S. in Physical Education Adult Fitness.
