Hooper posts four shots and Johannsdottir tallies five saves
QUEENS, N.Y. – An improved second half showing wasn't enough in the Seton Hall women's soccer team's 1-0 loss to St. John's in Queens on Thursday evening.
Freshman goalkeeper Harpa Johannsdottir racked up four saves and junior Laura Hooper tallied a team-high four shots with one going on goal. Izzy Engel, Cassy Harrigan and Atley Fortney also had shots that were on target.
The Hall held the Johnnies scoreless for the first 40 minutes of the game before Maia Cabrera found the back of the net in the 41st. The Hall created a couple of scoring chances over the course of the second stanza. Perhaps its best came in the 74th minute when Hooper took a free kick from outside of the penalty box that sailed just high of the cross bar.

Seton Hall will return to action on Sunday at 1 p.m. when the Pirates take on Xavier in Cincinnati on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
