Elmore Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall junior Desiree Elmore (Hartford, Conn.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

It's the second time she has been honored by the conference this year. Elmore was named BIG EAST Player of the Week on Nov. 11.

Elmore again led the Pirates in scoring and rebounding in a pair of games last week. Elmore finished with 16 points, four rebounds and three assists against No. 4 UConn on Thursday. On Sunday, she tallied her second career double-double, leading all players with 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists. For the week, she averaged 16.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.

Villanova's Mary Gedaka was named BIG EAST Player of the Week. The Wildcats' Maddy Siegrist earned Freshman of the Week recognition. In addition to Elmore, members of the Weekly Honor Roll include Butler's Kristen Spolyar, DePaul's Kelly Campbell, Marquette's Jordan King and Providence's Mary Baskerville.

Seton Hall will return to action on Friday, December 20 when it returns to historic Walsh Gymnasium for its final non-conference contest of the year against Lafayette. Tip time is scheduled for Noon. The game will be streamed by the Pirate Sports Network, and as always, you can also hear the game on 89.5 FM WSOU and wsou.net.
