
Grober Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall freshman Steve Grober (Hillsborough, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Tuesday.
Grober led Seton Hall with eight hits and a .444 batting average in five games last week. The shortstop belted his first career home run vs. NJIT on Tuesday. On Wednesday, he erupted for a three-hit day, going 3-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs at Fairleigh Dickinson. On Friday at Iona, Grober tallied two more hits, including a double. He capped his strong week on Sunday, going 2-for-5 with a double, a run scored and two more RBIs.
Creighton's Jake Holton was named BIG EAST Player of the Week, while Butler's Ryan Pepiot earned Pitcher of the Week honors. Those joining Grober on the Honor Roll include: Creighton's John Sakowski, St. John's Joe LaSorsa, Villanova's Chris Rotondo and Xavier's Jake Shepski.
Seton Hall will return to action later today when it makes the short trip to Teaneck, N.J. for a game at Fairleigh Dickinson. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
