
Acevedo Paces Pirates in Third Round at Redhawk

UNIVERSITY PLACE, WASH. – Sophomore Andres Acevedo (San Antonio, Texas) fired an even-par, 71, in the final round of the 2019 Redhawk Invitational to lead the Seton Hall men's golf team to a 14th place team finish on Tuesday.
Acevedo had two birdies and 14 pars to lead The Hall in the third round. For the tournament, Acevedo tied for 44th place with a 2-over-par, 73-71-71-215.
As a team, Seton Hall shot a 7-over-par, 291, in Tuesday's final round. For the three-day event, The Hall shot a 6-over-par, 287-280-291-858. UCLA won the team title at 37-under-par.
The top Pirate for the tournament was Gregor Tait (Martlesham Heath, England). The sophomore fired a 2-over-par, 71, today fueled by a trio of birdies. Senior Gen Nagai (Mandaue Cebu City, Philippines) finished his tournament with a 2-over-par, 73, on Tuesday. For the three-round event, he tied Acevedo for 44th place with a 2-over-par, 74-68-73-215.
Freshman Deven Ramachandran (San Rafael, Calif.) shot a 3-over-par, 74, on Tuesday. For the tournament, he was 5-over-par with a 73-71-74-218. Only one stroke behind Ramachandran was senior Chris Yeom (Flushing, N.Y.), who also shot a 3-over-par, 74, in the final round. For the event, Yeom was 6-over-par with a 74-71-74-219.
