
Pirates Earn 2018-19 Team Academic Excellence Award

Kansas City, Mo. - For the fourth straight year, Seton Hall men's basketball's academic success has garnered recognition from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). The Pirates are recipients of the NABC's sixth annual Team Academic Excellence Award for finishing the 2018-19 academic year with a cumulative grade point average above 3.0, the organization announced Thursday.
Seton Hall was one of only 40 Div. I programs to receive this year's award, and one of only 10 Div. I programs to both receive this award and earn a 2019 NCAA Tournament bid.
The Pirates finished 2018-19 with a 3.157 GPA, which represents an improvement of 0.147 from last year's 3.010.
