Soak it up, Pirates fans. For all of you coming to Prudential Center on Saturday, you're in for a treat. The top two players in the BIG EAST will be on display.
For the ninth time in their four-year careers, Seton Hall's Myles Powell and Marquette's Markus Howard will face off. They are the leaders of their respective teams, they are the top scorers in this great conference, and they are two of only five Associated Press preseason All-Americans.Â
Both can snap off a three-point shot or get to the rim faster than the blink of an eye. Both can change the pace of a game with instant offense. Both are the cusp of completing incredible collegiate careers.
Soak it up, Pirates fans. This is what college basketball is all about.
Oh, and by the way, Myles and Markus' teams have each won four matchups in this series.
Saturday's game airs on CBS Sports Network with Rich Waltz and Bob Wenzel on the call and Gary Parrish serving as sideline reporter. The dynamic duo of Gary Cohen and Dave Popkin provide radio sound on WMCA 570 AM, simulcast on XM 385Â and the Pirate Sports Network.

Three Things to Know About Saturday's Home Matchup vs. Marquette
 1. You Can't Defend the Foul Line
Marquette seems to be at its best when it gets to the free throw line, a place where defenders can't stop the ball from going through the hoop. And when you have an 89 percent career free throw shooter on your team like Marquette does with Howard, the charity stripe is where you want to go. Marquette is 8-0 this season when it shoots more free throw attempts than its opponent. To help limit Marquette's offense, Seton Hall has to defend without fouling.
Â
2. Take Away the Three
Marquette is shooting 40.5 percent from three this season with four players above 40 percent. Obviously, Howard is one of them. He averages four makes a game while shooting 45 percent. The Golden Eagles live with the three, and the Pirates will want to limit their chances there, especially from non-Howard players. Getting Marquette to settle for jump shots inside the arc or asking the Golden Eagles to challenge the Gill-Obiagu combination is preferable. Â
 Â
3. Look Out for Marquette's Rim Protector
Seton Hall's got two incredible center rim protectors, but on the flip side, the Pirates are facing a good one in his own right in Theo John. In addition to blocking opponents, the Pirates have had a lot of their shots blocked this season, and they need to be prepared to get around John's length when going to the hoop. Remember, blocks can lead to fastbreak opportunities on the other end.
