NEW YORK – The BIG EAST Conference unveiled a portion of its women's basketball schedule on Friday and Seton Hall has four games on the slate for December, including home contests against Connecticut and Marquette.
Â
The remainder of the conference schedule will be announced at a later date along with tip-off times and television designations.
Â
Ten of the conference's 11 teams, including Seton Hall, will begin BIG EAST play on Friday, December 4. The Pirates will be at Hinkle Fieldhouse to take on Butler. Two days later, The Hall will return home to host preseason title favorite Connecticut at Walsh Gym on Sunday, Dec. 6. The Pirates will then take a break from conference play until they resume with Marquette at Walsh Gym on Saturday, Dec. 19, before rounding out the month with a trip to Georgetown three days later on Tuesday, Dec. 22.
Â
No fans will be permitted to attend either of Seton Hall's two home contests.
Â
Seton Hall is coming off a 19-12 season and a berth in the BIG EAST Championship semifinals. The COVID-19 pandemic prevented the Pirates from claiming an inevitable sixth post-season appearance in seven years under Head Coach Anthony Bozzella. This year, the Pirates return a young, talented team, including unanimous Preseason All-BIG EAST selection Desiree Elmore (Hartford, Conn.) and BIG EAST All-Freshman pick Mya Jackson (Wilmington, Ohio).
