SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Seton Hall women's basketball transfer Mya Bembry (West Orange, N.J.) has been granted a waiver by the NCAA and will be eligible to compete immediately, head coach Anthony Bozzella announced on Wednesday. Â Bembry will have three years of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2020-21 campaign.
"We are ecstatic to learn that Mya will be eligible to play in games for us this season," Bozzella said. "She has worked incredibly hard this offseason to get herself ready for this year's campaign. This is the homecoming we all hoped for."
"I want to specifically thank our Director of Compliance Will Aloia and our SWA Tatum Colitz for all their countless hours of hard work, Bozzella continued. "This wouldn't have gotten done without them."
