Park-Lane Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Seton Hall sophomore Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

Park-Lane erupted for a career-high 29 points on 9-for-20 shooting from the floor and a near-perfect 9-for-10 from the free-throw line against No. 3 Connecticut on Tuesday. Her previous career-high was just 18 points scored against Saint Peter's a week earlier. Park-Lane also dished out a team-best six assists with only two turnovers. Her 29 points are the most scored by a Pirate since Shadeen Samuels netted 33 points at St. John's on March 3, 2019.Â

Park-Lane has recorded at least five assists in all four games this season and now leads the BIG EAST with 6.0 assists per game. Her 18.8 points per game ranks third in the conference.

Villanova's Maddy Siegrist earned BIG EAST Player of the Week honors. Connecticut's Paige Bueckers was named Freshman of the Week. In addition to Park-Lane, members of the Weekly Honor Roll include Connecticut's Christyn Williams, DePaul's Dee Bekelja, Marquette's Selena Lott and Providence's Chanell Williams.

Seton Hall will return to game action on Sunday, January 3 when it travels to Providence.Â
