CINCINNATI - Seton Hall is 3-1 in the BIG EAST for the 11th time in program history, and the Pirates now try to go 4-1 in the league for the eighth time in program history Wednesday night when the face the Xavier Musketeers at Cintas Center. If The Hall can pull off the win, it will join a robust list of past Pirates teams to get to 4-1 in the best basketball conference in the country: the 2019-20, 2017-18, 2011-12, 1999-00, 1998-99, 1992-93 and 1988-89 teams. All but one of those teams posted a 20-win season.
The Pirates will be tested against an offensively gifted Xavier team that ranks 20th in KenPom offensive efficiency and is averaging 81.6 points per game and shooting nearly 50 percent overall and nearly 40 percent from three-point range.
