
Seton Hall Nets AVCA Team Academic Award

LEXINGTON, KY. - For the fifth year in a row, the Seton Hall women's volleyball team received the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award.

The award, which was initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that maintained at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale or a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale.

Eight of the BIG EAST Conference's 10 volleyball programs received the prestigious honor recognizing success in the classroom. 2020 BIG EAST newcomer, Connecticut, was also recognized.

In addition to five straight, it's the ninth time in the last 11 years that Seton Hall has received the honor and the 11th time overall. The Pirates maintained an impressive 3.66 grade point average for the 2019-20 year, reaching as high as 3.71 in the spring semester alone.
