Lauren Park-Lane Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

The Pirate point guard averaged 18.0 points and 8.0 assists at the Cancun Challenge last week.
NEW YORK –Seton Hall junior Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

Park-Lane proved her status as a preseason All-BIG EAST performer last week, leading the Pirates with 18.0 points and 8.0 assists per game at the Cancun Challenge. On Thursday against national-power USC, Park-Lane had a strong all-around game with 17 points, seven assists, five rebounds and two steals. Against Toledo on Friday, the point guard erupted for a game-high 19 points to go with a season-best nine assists with four rebounds.Â

For her efforts, Park-Lane was named to the Cancun Challenge Riviera Division All-Tournament Team. She has now scored in double-figures in 13 straight games dating back to last season and leads the Pirates with a 19.0 scoring average.

DePaul's Sonya Morris was named BIG EAST Player of the Week. The Blue Demons' Aneesah Morrow was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. In addition to Park-Lane, members of the Weekly Honor Roll include Connecticut's Paige Bueckers, Creighton's Emma Ronsiek, Georgetown's Milan Bolden-Morris and Villanova's Lior Garzon.

Seton Hall will return to action on Friday, December 3 when it opens BIG EAST Conference play against national-power Connecticut. Tip time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET. The game will be televised by SNY.
