
Six Pirates Score In Double-Figures In 110-48 Win Over Misericordia

South Orange, N.J. - Junior forward Tray Jackson (Detroit, Mich.) led all scorers with 19 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field and junior forward Tyrese Samuel (Montreal, Quebec) posted a double-double with 15 points 10 rebounds as the Seton Hall men's basketball turned in a 110-48 exhibition victory over Misericordia inside the newly refurbished Walsh Gymnasium on Thursday evening.
The Hall played in front of a sold out crowd of 1,300.
Along with Jackson and Samuel, the Pirates had four other double-digit scorers. Graduate student Alexis Yetna (Paris, France) was a perfect 4-for-4 from the floor and pulled down eight rebounds.
With 12:30 to play in the first half, Misericordia went ahead 16-14 on a layup but the Pirates answered on the ensuing possession. Graduate student Myles Cale (Middletown, Del.) pulled down an offensive rebound and found graduate student Bryce Aiken (Randolph, N.J.) who hit a three-pointer that put The Hall ahead, 17-16. The Pirates led for good the rest of the way, expanding their lead to 64 with 20 seconds remaining in the contest.

- Cale finished with 13 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals.
- Aiken provided an offensive spark off the bench where he scored 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting.
- The Pirates scored 23 points off of 17 Misericordia turnovers.
