
ROAD KILL!! Pirates Down Princeton as LP and AEH Erupt, 70-60

Lauren Park-Lane and Andra Espinoza-Hunter combined for 41 points as the Pirates win their first true road contest of the year.
PRINCETON, N.J. – Andra Espinoza-Hunter (Ossining, N.Y.) had a game-high 21 points and Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.) added 20 points and nine assists as the Seton Hall women's basketball team defeated Princeton on the road, 70-60, on Saturday.
Seton Hall used a 10-0 run mid-way through the third quarter to pull away from Princeton for good and give the Pirates their first true road win of the season.
Espinoza-Hunter finished with 21 points on the strength of 3-for-6 shooting from three-point range. She also had four rebounds. Park-Lane had 20 points on an efficient 7-for-11 shooting and matched her season-high with nine assists.
Senior Sidney Cooks (Kenosha, Wis.) also nearly had a double-double, finishing with 10 points to go with a team-high eight rebounds.
The Story:
The Pirates scored the first four points of the game, but Princeton responded with a 10-0 run to take an early 10-4 advantage with 4:16 left in the first quarter. The Pirates bounced back with a 9-2 run of their own, and a three-pointer by Mya Jackson (Wilmington, Ohio) put them on top, 13-12, with 3:19 to go in the opening frame. With both teams shooting better than 50.0%, points were a plenty down the stretch in the first and Princeton took a 21-17 lead into the second quarter.
Trailing 27-21, The Hall went on another 9-2 burst, and a pair of free-throws by Cooks gave it a 30-29 lead with 3:51 to left before the break. Princeton jumped back ahead, but the Pirates scored seven of the next nine points, and a layup by Cooks gave them a 37-33 advantage with under two minutes left in the first half. The Pirates took a 37-35 lead into the locker room.
Leading 40-38, the Pirates went on an 10-0 run and a layup by Cooks gave them a commanding 52-40 lead with 3:44 left in the third.
In the fourth quarter, Princeton cut their deficit to seven points, but couldn't get closer. With the Pirates up 54-47, they went on an 8-2 run, and a jumper by Park-Lane gave them their largest lead, 62-49, with just 3:02 left to play.

Seton Hall will return to action on Tuesday, December 14 when it returns to newly-renovated Walsh Gym to host Central Florida. Game time is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. The contest will be streamed by the Pirate Sports Network and available to FloSports subscribers.
