Park-Lane Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

NEW YORK –For the fourth straight week, Seton Hall junior Lauren Park-Lane (Wilmington, Del.) was named to the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Weekly Honor Roll on Monday.

Park-Lane stepped up in a huge way last week for the Pirates, especially in their contest against Marquette. For the week, she averaged team-bests of 16.5 points and 6.5 assists per game in a pair of games for The Hall.

After recording eight points and five assists in a loss to UCF on Tuesday, the Pirate point guard broke out on Sunday against Marquette. With the Pirates down to only eight available players, Park-Lane drained a career-high six of eight three-point attempts in route to a season-high 25 points. She also collected eight assists, four rebounds and three steals in Seton Hall's first BIG EAST victory of the season.

Park-Lane's 20-point game is her sixth of the season and 12th of her career. She has also now recorded at least seven assists in six of the last eight games.

DePaul's Aneesah Morrow was named BIG EAST Player and Freshman of the Week. In addition to Park-Lane, members of the Weekly Honor Roll include Connecticut's Caroline Ducharme, Creighton's Lauren Jensen, St. John's Leilani Correa and Xavier's Ayanna Townsend.

Seton Hall will return to action tomorrow, Tuesday, December 21, when it hosts local non-conference foe Wagner at newly-renovated Walsh Gymnasium. Tip time is scheduled for Noon ET. The game will be streamed live by the Pirate Sports Network for FloSports subscribers.
