
Pirates Take Part in Greyhound Invitational on Saturday

Bethlehem, Pa. -Â The Seton Hall men's cross country team competed at the 2021 Greyhound Invitational hoisted by Moravian College on Saturday. The meet took place at Timothy Breidegam Track & Rocco Calvo Field in Bethlehem, Pa.
In the 5000 meter event, Declan Harkness (Stewartsville, N.J.) (15:52.81), Cole Kretlow (Oakland, Calif.) (16:04.97), Justin Allone (Holtsville, N.Y.) (16:24.88), and Nicholas Minikel (Milltown, N.J.) (16:46.25) all took home top-10 finishes for The Hall. Grant Tokarski (Brick, N.J.) (17:29.40) and Jacob Wozar (Newark, Del.) (18:15.89) also competed for The Pirates. Harkness took second in the event.
Patrick Wagner (Jenkintown, PA.) led the Pirates in the 1500 meter event finishing in a time of 4:21.82. Kretlow (4:22.67), James Loeffel (Queens, N.Y.) (4:23.73) and Minkel (4:31.39) also placed for The Hall. Sirish Modhagala (North Arlington, N.J.) took sixth in the 400 Meter Dash for Seton Hall, finishing in a time of 54.99.
Three Pirates would compete in the 800 Meter Dash finals. Jadon Parris would lead The Hall with a fifth-place finish in a time of 2:04.81 followed closely by Andrew Walde (Edmonds, WA.) in a time of 2:05.58, good enough for sixth. Brandin Affrunti (Staten Island, N.Y.) would finish the event in a time of 2:16.16.
The relay team of Modhagala, Minikel, Allone and Parris would take third in the final event of the day, the 4x400 Relay. The team cross the finish line in a time of 3:45.48.
The Pirates will continue their spring season next Saturday at the All-American Invitational taking place in East Stroudsburg, Pa,.
