
Hack Named BIG EAST Player of the Week; Probst Lands on Weekly Honor Roll

Both Pirates helped lead Seton Hall to a sweep of Villanova this past weekend
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Sophomore outfielder Devin Hack (Somerville, N.J.) has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week and freshman pitcher Zane Probst (Mill Hall, Pa.) has been named to the conference's weekly honor roll following standout performances in the Seton Hall baseball team's sweep of Villanova this past weekend.

Hack led the Pirates with a .462 average with six hits against the Wildcats. He drove in three runs, scored once and stole a base in three starts. The sophomore delivered the go-ahead base hit on Sunday, the series finale, that scored two runs and put Seton Hall ahead, 3-1, securing the series sweep. Hack also had an RBI single on Saturday in the second inning that put the Pirates up 4-0 and he registered a career-high three hits in the series opener on Friday.

The Somerville, N.J., native finished the series with two multi-hit games and seven putouts in left field where he also didn't commit an error.

Probst made two appearances out of the bullpen and didn't allow a hit or a run in 2.1 innings of work. He helped secure the 1-0 shutout of Villanova on Friday and, in the series finale, got the final out in the seventh and worked a clean eighth for the Pirate win.
