Shedler-McAvoy named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

The senior hit two big home runs for Seton Hall this past weekend
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - Senior Tyler Shedler-McAvoy (Allendale, N.J.) has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after helping lead the Seton Hall baseball team to a split of a four-game series at Xavier this past weekend.
Shedler-McAvoy hit two clutch home runs for the Pirates (21-17, 14-5 BIG EAST), drove in five runs and crossed the plate four times himself. He drew four walks and also stole a base. In a 1-1 ball game in the series opener, Shedler-McAvoy hit the go-ahead home run in the top of fourth that gave the Pirates the lead for good. With Seton Hall leading 3-2 in the top of the seventh and looking to add more in the third game of the series, Shedler-McAvoy hit his second grand slam of the season to the break the game open and give the Pirates a 7-2 lead.
Shedler-McAvoy and the Pirates are back in action this weekend at Mike Sheppard, Sr. Stadium at Owen T. Carroll Field as they host BIG EAST foe Creighton for a four-game series. Creighton and Seton Hall are currently first and second in the BIG EAST standings, respectively. All four games will be streamed by the Pirate Sports Network.
