- The Seton Hall men's basketball team looks to get back on track at the Prudential Center on Wednesday as the Pirates host No. 22 Marquette at 8:30 p.m. on FS1.
- The Pirates are playing three of their next four games at the Prudential Center.
- Seton Hall is 8-1 at The Rock this season and 152-68 all-time.
- Against BIG EAST competition, the Pirates are 71-57 all-time at the Prudential Center and 1-1 this season.
- Wednesday marks The Hall's first game at the Prudential Center since Jan. 8, a 90-87 overtime victory over Connecticut.
- The Pirates are looking to avoid going three games under .500 in the BIG EAST since starting 3-6 in 2016-17.
- That season, Seton Hall finished 10-8 in the conference, advanced to the semifinals of the BIG EAST Tournament and went to its second of four consecutive NCAA Tournaments.
- The win over St. John's on Jan. 22 at Madison Square Garden marked the ninth time this season that The Hall held its opponent to 65 points or less.
- Outside of Monday's defeat to the Red Storm at Walsh Gymnasium, Seton Hall's four losses in conference play came by a combined 16 points and its average margin of defeat was four points.
- Two of those defeats came without two critical interior pieces (7-2 graduate student Ike Obiagu and 6-10 junior Tyrese Samuel) against two ranked BIG EAST opponents.
- Seton Hall is 4-5 this season against Q1 and Q2 competition.
- This is the first season in program history where the Pirates defeated two top 10 non-conference opponents in the regular season.
- The Hall is one of only five programs in the country with multiple wins over top 10 teams this season (Baylor, Duke, Gonzaga, Oregon).
- The Pirates are the only team in college basketball that secured a true top five road win in the non-conference (at No. 4 Michigan, 67-65).
- The Pirates rank second in the BIG EAST in three-point FG percentage defense (30.9 percent) and 25th in the country in total rebounds per game (40.28).
- Seton Hall is ranked in the top 70 in KenPom in both adjusted offensive efficiency (67th) and adjusted defensive efficiency (48th).
- KenPom currently ranks Seton Hall's schedule as the 13th toughest in the country.
- Seton Hall is currently 36th in the NET and 35th in KenPom.
- The Pirates are 106-19 (.848) since 2016-17 when they attempt more free throws than their opponent.
- This season, Seton Hall ranks eighth in Division I in free throws made (313) and 16th in free throw attempts (408).
- The Hall is 124-18 (.873) since 2015-16 when its lead gets to seven points.
- Under Kevin Willard, the Pirates are 88-10 (.898) when they score 80 points or more.
- Ike Obiagu has registered a block in 27 consecutive games going back to last season, the longest active streak in the country, and is averaging 5.0 blocks and 8.5 rebounds over the last three games.
- Obiagu is two blocks away from tying Samuel Dalembert's program record of 167 career blocked shots.
- Graduate student Bryce Aiken (Randolph, N.J.) has been a force in closing out games this season with 72 total points in the final five minutes of regulation and overtime through 15 games played (4.8 ppg).
- Graduate student Alexis Yetna (Paris, France) is averaging a double-double in BIG EAST play with 11.3 points and 10.4 rebounds per game.
