
Pirates Drop Home Meet to Drexel

South Orange, N.J. – Seton Hall women's swimming and diving dropped its home meet to Drexel on Saturday by a final score of 191-107. Amanda Zajdzinski (Mesa, Ariz.) picked up victories in both of the distance events.
Zajdzinski got her day started in the 1000 Free, swimming a top-10 time in program history of 10:28.48 to claim first place. Finishing behind her in second place was Allie Waggoner (Moorestown, N.J.), who touched the wall in 10:35.10.
Zajdzinski would later add her second win of the day, taking the top spot in the 500 Free with a time of 5:07.40. This marked the second straight meet in which Zajdzinski has swept the distance events, and the third time overall this season that she has won the 500 and 1000 Free in the same meet.
Natalie Heim (Middletown, N.J.) picked up a victory in the 100 Free, finishing with a time of 52.36. For Heim, this is the third time this season that she has won the event.
In diving, Laura Stavila (Oakland, Calif.) posted a pair of top-three finishes. The junior took second in the 1M dive with a total score of 221.62, while her score of 220.65 in the 3M dive was good enough for third place.
The Pirates will have next weekend off before competing again at the WVU Invite, which runs from Nov. 17-19.
