- Winners of three consecutive games including its last two at Prudential Center, the Seton Hall men's basketball team will now hit the road for their next two BIG EAST games starting with No. 15 Villanova on Saturday at 1 p.m. on FOX.
- Seton Hall is currently 34th in the NET and 38th in KenPom.
- Seton Hall is 6-6 this season against Quad 1 and Quad 2 competition.
- Sophomore Kadary Richmond (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday after averaging 13.0 points, 7.0 assists and 5.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week against Georgetown and Creighton.
- After going 3-6 in January, Seton Hall is already 3-0 in the month of February.
- February has been a good month for the Pirates in recent years as they've gone 30-17 since 2015-16 in the calendar's second month.
- Seton Hall has gotten some if its defensive mojo back recently as its allowed only 63 points per contest over the last three games and it has allowed its last three opponents to shoot 26.2 percent (16-of-61) from three-point range.
- The Hall is 3-3 this season against ranked opponents with wins at No. 4 Michigan, vs. No. 7 Texas and No. 25 Xavier.
- Since starting 3-6 in BIG EAST play, Seton Hall has won its last three games to bring its league record to 6-6.
- The last time the Pirates had started 3-6 in the BIG EAST was in 2016-17, when the Pirates went on to win seven of their next nine to finish 10-8 while also reaching the BIG EAST Tournament semis. The team earned a 9 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
- Outside of the loss to St. John's on Jan. 24, Seton Hall's other five losses in conference play came by an average margin of defeat of 5.2 points.
- Two of those defeats (at No. 21 Providence Dec. 29, vs. No. 22 Villanova Jan. 1) came without two critical interior pieces in 7-2 graduate student Ike Obiagu and 6-10 junior Tyrese Samuel.
- Seton Hall is 12-0 this season when it holds its opponents to 69 points or less and 12-0 when its either leading or tied at halftime.
- The Hall is one of nine programs in the country with multiple wins over top 10 teams this season (Baylor, Duke, Gonzaga, Oregon, UCLA, Alabama, Arizona, Texas Tech).
- The Pirates are one of only two teams in college basketball, along with Kentucky (at No. 5 Kansas, 80-62) that secured a true top five road win in the non-conference (at No. 4 Michigan, 67-65).
- The Hall is 127-18 (.876) since 2015-16 when its lead gets to seven points.
- Senior Jared Rhoden (Bladwin, N.Y.) had a breakout performance in the win over No. 25 Xavier on Wednesday where he had 25 points, eight rebounds and shot 5-of-8 from beyond the arc.
- Rhoden ranks fifth in the BIG EAST in scoring 15.8 points per game.
- Graduate Student Alexis Yetna (Paris, France) is one of only two players in the BIG EAST (Adama Sanogo, UConn) to average more than 8.5 rebounds and nine points per game against league competition.
- Over the last five games, graduate student Jamir Harris (North Brunswick, N.J.) is averaging 11 points and making 43 percent of his three-pointers (13-of-30).
- Graduate student Ike Obiagu (Abuja, Nigeria) has registered a block 44 of his last 46 games and ranks fourth nationally with 3.6 blocks per game.
- With fellow point guard Bryce Aiken out with a concussion, Richmond has stepped up and averaged 11 points, 5.8 assists and 5.3 rebounds over the last four games.
- With seven league games remaining, graduate student Myles Cale (Middletown, Del.) has played in 85 career BIG EAST games, the most in the history of the conference.
