- Winners of three of its last four games, the Seton Hall men's basketball team will head to No. 24 Connecticut to take on the Huskies in a critical BIG EAST battle at 8:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
- Seton Hall is currently 34th in the NET and 34th in KenPom.
- Seton Hall is 7-7 this season against Quad 1 and Quad 2 competition.
- After going 3-6 in January, Seton Hall is 3-1 in the month of February.
- February has been a good month for the Pirates in recent years as they've gone 30-18 since 2015-16 in the calendar's second month.
- Seton Hall has gotten its defensive mojo back recently as its allowed only 65.5 points per contest over the last four games and it has allowed its last three opponents to shoot 27.5 percent (24-of-87) from three-point range.
- The Hall is 3-4 this season against ranked opponents with wins at No. 4 Michigan, vs. No. 7 Texas and No. 25 Xavier.
- Since starting 3-6 in BIG EAST play, Seton Hall has won three of its last four games to bring its league record to 6-7.
- The last time the Pirates had started 3-6 in the BIG EAST was in 2016-17, when the Pirates went on to win seven of their next nine to finish 10-8 while also reaching the BIG EAST Tournament semis. The team earned a 9 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
- Outside of the loss to St. John's on Jan. 24, Seton Hall's other six losses in conference play have come by an average margin of defeat of 5.3 points.
- Two of those defeats (at No. 21 Providence Dec. 29, vs. No. 22 Villanova Jan. 1) came without two critical interior pieces in 7-2 graduate student Ike Obiagu and 6-10 junior Tyrese Samuel.
- Seton Hall is 12-0 this season when it holds its opponents to 69 points or less and 12-1 when its either leading or tied at halftime.
- The Hall is one of nine programs in the country with multiple wins over top 10 teams this season (Baylor, Duke, Gonzaga, Oregon, UCLA, Alabama, Arizona, Texas Tech).
- The Pirates are one of only two teams in college basketball, along with Kentucky (at No. 5 Kansas, 80-62) that secured a true top five road win in the non-conference (at No. 4 Michigan, 67-65).
- Seton Hall went 9-1 in the non-conference portion of its schedule with wins over Texas, Michigan, Rutgers, Wagner (first place NEC) and Yale (first place Ivy League).
- The Hall is 127-19 (.869) since 2015-16 when its lead gets to seven points.
- Junior Tray Jackson (Detroit, Mich.) is 10-of-20 from behind the three-point arc over his last four games.
- Graduate Student Alexis Yetna (Paris, France) is one of only two players in the BIG EAST (Adama Sanogo, UConn) that is averaging more than nine rebounds (9.2) and nine points per game (9.2) against league competition.
- Over the last six games, graduate student Jamir Harris (North Brunswick, N.J.) is averaging 10.2 points and making 42 percent of his three-pointers (15-of-36).
- Graduate student Ike Obiagu (Abuja, Nigeria) has registered a block in 45 of his last 47 games and ranks sixth nationally with 3.4 blocks per game.
- With fellow point guard Bryce Aiken out with a concussion, Richmond has stepped up and is averaging 12 points, 5.6 assists and 4.8 rebounds over the last five games.
- Senior Jared Rhoden (Baldwin, N.Y.) ranks fifth in the BIG EAST with 15.4 points per game, 14th in rebounding with 6.8 rebounds per game and sixth with an 80 percent clip from the free-throw line.
- With six league games remaining, graduate student Myles Cale (Middletown, Del.) has played in 86 career BIG EAST games, the most in the history of the conference.
