
Pirates Celebrate Seniors, Defeat Georgetown For Fourth Straight Win

Newark, N.J. - Senior Jared Rhoden (Baldwin, N.Y.) scored 16 points, and sophomore Kadary Richmond (Brooklyn, N.Y.) produced a double-double with 12 points and 10 assists as the Seton Hall men's basketball team took down Georgetown, 73-68, for its fourth straight win Wednesday at Prudential Center.
Prior to the game, the Pirates celebrated Senior Night, honoring Rhoden along with Bryce Aiken (Randolph, N.J.), Myles Cale (Middletown, Del.), Jamir Harris (North Brunswick, N.J.), Ike Obiagu (Abuja, Nigeria) and Alexis Yetna (Paris, France).

The Hoyas cut their deficit to three, 39-36, with just over a minute to go before halftime but Richmond hit his second three of the half to extend Seton Hall's lead to six, 42-36. Georgetown wouldn't go down without a fight, trimming the Seton Hall lead to one point, 48-47, at the 14:21 mark in the second. A putback dunk by Cale would ignite the crowd and kick off an 8-2 run and make it a seven-point game, 56-49. The Hoyas had used hot shooting all night to stay in the contest but Seton Hall's defense locked down, allowing only one Georgetown field goal from from the 12:56 mark to the 6:11 point in the second half.
