Pirates Will Face Defending National Champions Kansas in Big 12-BIG EAST Battle

NEW YORK — The Seton Hall men's basketball team has drawn a road matchup with the Kansas Jayhawks at Allen Fieldhouse in the fourth installment of the Big 12-BIG EAST Battle, the conference office announced Thursday. The game will take place on Thursday, Dec. 1 with game time and television assignment to be determined.
The Pirates knocked off No. 7 Texas at Prudential Center, 64-60, in their Battle game last season and are 1-1 all-time in Battle contests. In 2020-21, the Pirates were scheduled to host Baylor at Prudential Center, but the game was canceled due to COVID-19 issues.
The Hall is 1-2 all-time against the Jayhawks with its lone victory coming in the 1988 Great Alaskan Shootout. The last meeting was in the second round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament when the Pirates went toe-to-toe with the top-seeded Jayhawks in an 83-79 defeat in Wichita, Kan.
