The versatile Satterfield was a go-to player for Xavier over the last two years.
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Seton Hall women's basketball head coach Anthony Bozzella announced today the addition of Xavier transfer Kae Satterfield (New York, N.Y.) to the program.Â
Â
Satterfield will have two years of remaining eligibility for the Pirates.
Â
"I recruited Kae twice, so she's someone I know really well," Bozzella said. "She showed flashes of excellence at Xavier, but my goal is to get her a little more consistent. I want her to really enjoy playing the game again and get her confidence back. Kae has all the abilities. She's everything we need. She passes, rebounds, dribbles and scores. She can play all five positions on the floor. She has a chance to be a really special player for us."
Â
Satterfield joins the Pirates after spending the last two years at BIG EAST rival Xavier and her freshman year at Ohio State. A primary scoring option for the Musketeers, she was second on the team with 10.0 points per game last year, and led Xavier with 7.2 rebounds per contest. During the 2020-21 season, Satterfield was twice named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, averaged 9.2 points per game and had sported an impressive .468 field goal percentage.
Â
In three games against Seton Hall over the last two years, Satterfield has averaged 14.6 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Earlier this year, she had one of the top individual performances for any Pirate opponent, recording 28 points, eight rebounds and eight assists in Walsh Gym on Feb. 4.
Â
Out of high school, Satterfield was ESPN's No. 88 overall recruit and No. 16 in her position.
