Samuel Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

South Orange, N.J. - Senior forward Tyrese Samuel (Montreal, Quebec) has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after averaging 13.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in a 1-1 week for the Seton Hall men's basketball team.
The weekly honor is the first in Samuel's career as a Pirate. Samuel helped lead The Hall to an 88-66 victory against St. John's on Saturday with a strong all-around performance; 16 points, nine rebounds, two assists and three steals. He tied for the team high in rebounds in the win over the Red Storm. Samuel got his week started with an 11-point, six-rebound output at Marquette on Dec. 27.
