Beaman Paces Pirates at BIG EAST Championships

Kenosha, Wis. – Stephen Beaman (Johnston, Iowa) led the way for Seton Hall men's cross country at the 2023 BIG EAST Championships on Saturday afternoon. The sophomore was the first Pirate to complete the 8k course, doing so with a time of 27:47.26.
Beaman was the top Pirate finisher ahead of JOSEPH BUTLER, who cross the finish line in 27:57.50. Jeffrey Grynaviski (Farmington Hills, Mich.) and Logan Brunozzi (Churchville, Pa.) were the next two to complete the course on the afternoon for Seton Hall. Grynaviski clocked a time of 28:20.17, while Brunozzi's 8k time was 28:27.08.
Rounding out the Pirates' top-five was Kendal Lanier (Kennett Square, Pa.), who came across the line in a time of 28:53.92. Zachary Doneth (Easley, S.C.), Michael Kelton (Malaga, N.J.), Michael Polak (Jamison, Pa.), Anthony Cary and Peter Smutelovic also completed the course on the afternoon for Seton Hall.
The Pirates now gear up for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals to be held on Friday, Nov. 10 in Lehigh, Pa.
