Xie was 3-under-par, while Bosworth was 2-under-par in Monday's second round.

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Graduate student Wenliang Xie (Zhaoqing, China) fired a 3-under-par, 69, on Monday to fuel the Seton Hall men's golf team to a 10^th place standing after two rounds at the Daniel Island Intercollegiate.

Xie had only one blemish on an otherwise dazzling round, collecting five birdies and 12 pars. For the tournament, Xie is up to 14^th place among 96 individual golfers and is 2-under-par with a 73-69-142. Middle Tennessee State's Kevin Jegers and Louisiana-Monroe's Melan Dhaubhadel share the individual lead at 7-under-par.

Xie's 69 today is his 35^th sub-par round of his career, which ranks second-most in Seton Hall history.

As a team, The Hall shaved off three strokes from yesterday's score. The Pirates shot an even-par, 288, in round two. Through 36 holes, they're in 10^th place with a 3-over-par, 291-288-579. Middle Tennessee State leads the field at 8-under-par.

Jack Bosworth (Simsbury, Conn.) also had a terrific second round. The sophomore collected five birdies in route to a 2-under-par, 70, on Monday. For the tournament, Bosworth is tied for 25^th place with a 1-over-par, 75-70-145.

Sophomore Patrick Kahanek (San Antonio, Texas) is also at 1-over-par for the tournament. Today, he had 15 pars on his way to a 1-over-par, 73. Kahanek is 1-over-par with a 72-73-145 through 36 holes.

George Fricker (Woodbridge, England) had one devastating hole, which marred an otherwise solid round. Aside from hole No. 16, he was just 1-over-par for the day, but instead finished with a 5-over-par, 78. For the tournament, Fricker is 5-over-par with a 71-78-149.

Senior Wanxi Sun (Danville, Calif.) had an eagle on the par-5, No. 6 hole and finished his second round with a 4-over-par, 76. For the tournament, he's 9-over-par with a 77-76-153.

Two Seton Hall golfers also made the trip and are competing as individuals. Freshman Eli Shah (Newtown Square, Pa.) had two birdies and 13 pars in route to a 1-over-par, 73, on Monday. He's tied for 46^th overall with a 4-over-par, 75-73-148. Junior Joshua Lee (Lantana, Texas) carded an 8-over-par, 80, in round two. He's currently 8-over-par for the tournament with a 72-80-152.

THE COURSE:

Against a stunning backdrop of natural saltwater marsh and tidal creek vistas, acclaimed golf course architect Rees Jones has designed a true low country classic. Ralston Creek, Daniel Island's second 18-hole masterpiece, is a par 72 course playing 7,446 yards from the championship tees.

THE FIELD:
In addition to Seton Hall and host Charleston Southern, the field includes nine other teams including: Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina, Francis Marion, Louisiana-Monroe, Mercer, Middle Tennessee State, North Carolina-Wilmington, Southern Mississippi and VCU.

THE FORMAT:
Teams will play five golfers and count the four lowest scores per round.

THE SCHEDULE:
The field will play 18 holes each day over three days. Tee times will begin at 8:06 a.m. for rounds one and two and there will be a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. for round three.
